Ing. Otto Staudacher and Ing. Gerhard Stocker jointly founded the company in 1974 STASTO. The company’s first headquarters was an old apartment in Gabelsbergerstraße in Innsbruck. The company traded in solenoid valves and pneumatic valves. The two HTL engineers Staudacher and Stocker alternated on a weekly basis – one in field sales, the other in inside sales. Success followed, and after just a few months the first employee was hired. In 1975, STASTO achieved annual sales of € 0.21 million (ATS 3 million).
