Time intervals of the GPS signal
How often / at what intervals does the GPS tracker send the location?
- During movement:
When your bike is moving, BikeTrax sends a current signal every 10 seconds. - When stationary:
If the bike is not moving, the tracker switches to stand-by mode after 5 minutes to save power. - When the bike is moved again:
As soon as the bike is moved again, the GPS tracker is automatically activated and sends the location again every 10 seconds. There may be a slight delay of a few more seconds before the first signal is received.
This keeps your bike in view at all times without consuming energy unnecessarily.
Please note, however, that the tracker can only send the data if there is mobile phone reception. In a building (basement, garage, etc.) it may be that there is no reception and the SIM card cannot send the data.
The data is buffered and sent subsequently as soon as reception is available again.
Last GPS position is not correct
The last displayed position / location does not match the current position
Switch on your bike and shake it briefly in the open air so that the BikeTrax wakes up from standby mode.
After a few minutes, the current position should be displayed correctly in the app again.
